The friendly and knowledgeable staff at the Dental Center of Vidalia is dedicated to the comfort of our patients with emphasis on quality care. We provide gentle, family oriented care to adults and children. Our staff uses every available tool to assure that you have a relaxed and pleasant experience during your dental appointment. Patient comfort is always our number one priority.

Jennifer Knight

Front Desk

Jennifer is a treatment/schedule coordinator for Dental Center of Vidalia and has worked in the dental field since 2001.

She has two daughters and two Grandsons. She is also a graduate of VHS and Brewton Parker.

Tammy Lynn Stephens

Front Desk

Tammy L. Stephens is the hygiene coordinator. She received an associate degree from Armstrong State College. She began with our practice in 2015 where she brings over 15 years’ experience in the medical field.

She resides in Tattnall County where she was born and raised. She is married to Michael Stephens, and has two children; a daughter, Candace, and a son, Adam.

Sherrie Mitchell

Front Desk – Insurance

Sherrie has been with Dental Center of Vidalia since 2001. She is a 1990 graduate Of Toombs County High School. She is our Office Manager and our Insurance Coordinator. She started out scheduling for the doctors for three years and then scheduled for the hygienists for two years. She took over as our insurance coordinator in 2007. She has been through many training seminars & courses and has a lot of experience with dental insurance and dental claims.

Sherrie is married to Tony Mitchell. They have five children: Kristin, Chelsea, Mason, Erika and Eliza. They also have two grandchildren: Gage and Kailen. They attend Tabernacle Baptist church in Vidalia. She enjoys spending time with her family & children and traveling with her husband.

Robyn McDonald

Hygienist

Robyn D. McDonald is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She received her degree from Macon State College where she received several scholarships and awarded The Golden Scaler award.

A native of Telfair County moving to Vidalia to begin her career with our practice in 1996. She is married to Ken McDonald; they have one son, Jonathon, and a fur baby, Zoee’. She ministers in her church to the young adults and sings on the praise team. Her passion for the Lord shows through in her work.

Amy Morris

Hygienist

Amy Morris has been a dental hygienist with the Dental Center of Vidalia team since 2007. She attended Valdosta State University and received an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2002 and a Bachelor’s of Science in Adult Education, Summa cum laude, in 2007.

She takes pride in her role as a health care professional and wishes to provide the most comfortable care possible to her patients. She enjoys forging friendships with her patients while providing a service that benefits their overall health.

Amy is a native of Toombs County and attends the Vidalia First Baptist Church. She is married to John Morris of Uvalda with whom she has a son, Lane, and a daughter, Lindy.

Tammy Shuman

Hygienist

Tammy Shuman is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She received her degree in Allied Health Science from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA. She has practiced 18 years with the Dental Center of Vidalia.

She is married to Brian Shuman and has 3 children; Blake, Kalab and Anna Marie.  She is an active member of First Baptist Church of Collins.  She enjoys spending time with family and watching her children play sports.

Casi McDonald

Hygienist

Casi Thigpen graduated from Southeastern Technical College in May 2015 with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. She was a recipient of the Hinman Dental Scholarship, a finalist in the GOAL award, Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership, and won the Golden Scaler Award.

Casi loves interacting with the patients and tries to make their visit enjoyable, while providing quality comprehensive care. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, shopping, and running.

She is originally from Treutlen County where she resides with her family. She is married to Garrett Thigpen. They live in Treutlen County and have one son, Cannon.

Phillisa Frost

Assistant

Phillisa Frost is a Dental Assistant with over 21 years of experience. She is certified in Expanded Duties along with Cerec/CadCam, Botox/Juvederm, Implant and Pinhole Surgery. She is also a member of the Georgia Dental Assistants Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries. Phillisa is proud of her job and enjoys working beside Dr. Kimbrel while delivering quality dental care using cutting edge technology.

Phillisa and her husband, Kenton, live in Lyons, GA. They have two beautiful daughters; K.D. and Kara. Phillisa and her family are members of the Marvin United Methodist Church in Lyons.

"Sam" Samantha Smith

Assistant

Samantha Smith has been employed with Dental Center of Vidalia since 2005. Samantha earned her EDA, Expanded Duties Assisting certificate in 2007 and then went on to achieve her CDA, Certified Dental Assisting certification in 2011 from the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. Samantha takes great pride in her job and enjoys being involved with all the new technologies as they become available. She loves meeting new patients and strives to build relationships with each patient and finds their trust is very important and rewarding.

On a personal note, Samantha is a resident and native of Tattnall County. She is married to Will Smith and they have three children, Kayla, Emma and Lily. She and her family love to vacation once a year in Disney World. It has become her favorite place to go.

Kimberly Avant

Assistant

Kimberly Avant is a Montgomery County native and graduated in 2004 from Southeastern Technical College with a Business Office Technology Degree. She received her certification from the Dental Assisting National Board in 2009.

Kimberly started working with Dental Center of Vidalia in 2006 as a Certified Dental Assistant. Working with our wonderful patients, she says is by far the best part of her job. She is also blessed to be part of an amazing dental team. She has two children, a son Sloan and a daughter Skylar. She attends the Vidalia First Baptist Church.

Lisa White

Assistant

Lisa White is an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant that has been a part of the Dental Center of Vidalia team since 2012.  Lisa earned her EDA, Expanded Duties Assistant Certification, in 2013. Lisa is a 1998 graduate from Tattnall County High School and a 2006 graduate from Ogeechee Technical College.

At Dental Center of Vidalia, Lisa assists Dr. Stewart Hamilton in providing the most amazing care for their patients. Lisa’s favorite part about her job is being able to meet and assist with all the patients and try to help make an impact and life changing difference in their lives.

Lisa is married to Jared White. They have four children: Molly, Jayna, Saige and Jagger. Lisa and her family are a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.

Amber Mosley

Assistant

Amber Mosley has been with the Dental Center of Vidalia family since 2014. She earned her EDA, Expanded Duties Assistant in 2015 and plans to further her education in becoming a CDA, Certified Dental Assistant. Amber graduated from Toombs County High School and went on to become a certified Phlebotomist as well as graduate with her Associates Degree from East Georgia State College.

Amber enjoys being an assistant and meeting the new people and welcoming back returning patients. She loves to help people feel more confident about their smiles.

Amber has been a resident of Toombs County all of her life. She and her husband, Michael Mosley, have one daughter together, Preslie. Amber and her family attend church at Connection Church.

Fay Hutto

Sterilization Technician

Ms. Fay Hutto has been a faithful employee to the practice since 1990. She served as Dr. Rick Kimbrel’s dental assistant for 17 years and is presently the Sterilization Technician. She ensures that all of the equipment required for each procedure is sterilized, a vital part of the day-to-day functioning of the office.

Fay is an lifelong native of Toombs County. She is an active member of the Church of God of Prophecy, where she taught Sunday School for 41 years. Her favorite role is being a mother to six children, and a grandmother to twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
